Robbery suspect arrested

PAMPA — A man suspected of the aggravated robbery of a local credit union was arrested and placed in custody Saturday.

Billy Michael Grimes, 51, of Pampa remained in custody in Gray County Jail Monday in lieu of $50,000 bond, jail records show. Bail was set by Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Judge Joe Martinez.

    Alleged arsonist arraigned and released on bail

    A 20-year-old Pampa man arrested for arson when he was spotted fleeing from the scene of at least one fire was arraigned this week and released on $7,500 bond.

    Eric Lewis, 20, told a reporter he is innocent when briefly reached at his home by phone after he was released from the Gray County Jail. After saying that, Lewis declined to speak further and hung up.

    Authorities arrest suspected arsonist Monday

    PAMPA — A 21-year-old Pampa man was arrested for arson Monday afternoon after he was spotted running from the scene of one of three fires he is alleged to have started.

    Eric Lewis remained in the Gray County Jail Monday evening and was expected to be arraigned in the morning.

    Two people arrested for meth crimes

    Two individuals were arrested for meth on Friday by the Gray County Sheriff’s Office following an execution of a search warrant on the 100 block of Village Drive.

    During the search, deputies seized 16 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, US currency and a rifle.

    Man tries to kidnap 11-year-old in WalMart store

    BORGER — A man accused of trying to kidnap an 11-year-old girl from the toy department of a Borger WalMart Wednesday was captured, arraigned and transported to the Hutchinson County Jail by Thursday morning.

    Woman gets 20 years on civilian and cop assault charges

    A woman authorities believe is ‘mentally compromised,” who struck a Pampa resident with her vehicle and attempted to hit a police officer with it as well, was convicted by a jury Tuesday of of aggravated assault against a public servant and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, court records show.

    Karla Dobbs, 56, was sentenced by 31st District Judge Steven Emmert to 20 years in prison, and ordered to pay $2,000 in fines
