To provide governmental transparency to the public, The Pampa News will begin printing all of the building permits issued by the City of Pampa, starting with last summer and moving forward. The City of Pampa issued 182 building permits between June 1, 2012 and Jan. 1, 2013. The breakdown is as follows: roof — 101; residential — 65; demolition — seven; mobile homes — five; and commercial — four. The following is a list of permits issued for September, and October. Permits for November and December will be published next week.

Good Samaritan Christian Services gives aid to approximately 1,986 individuals each month in the Pampa area under the direction of volunteer Executive Director Joy Bivins.
Good Sams has served the Pampa community for 30 years, and Bivins began her work with then in 2007.
