Some American soldiers serving in the cold mountains of Afghanistan will be a little warmer this holiday season due the efforts of family and friends in Pampa.

Capt. Chris White, 28, will be receiving a package in the next couple of weeks stuffed full of chemical hand and foot warmers.

The seeds of the project were planted the last time Chris was in the states with his family, in a conversation with his aunt, Anita Harp of Pampa.
